As our civilization has grown technology has also advanced from invention of wheels to space shuttles. What we dream today of becomes reality tomorrow. No one ever thought of mobiles will become integral part of our life, but it has now become. Imagine yourself without mobile. To take mobile to another level Transparent Mobiles will be coming soon. It’s difficult to imagine how this is even possible but it’s true. A Taiwan based company named POLYTRON has all planned to launch a smartphone which will be completely transparent by the end of this year.
Company has already published first images of the mobile phone (tentative design on paper). According to company’s spoke person they are going to use special glasses with for developing transparent body and screen. Its weight is very light approximately less than 100 grams. This phone is yet under development, only visible parts of this phone will be battery, camera and micro sd card.
POLYTRON has got patent for electrical wiring of the phone which is completely transparent. Therefore, company claims that phone is completely transparent. Now there is no such invention of transparent SIM, Microphone, micro sd card and battery. Therefore except from these things whole mobile will be transparent.
How glass transparency is possible?
POLYTRON developed non- transparent Polyvision Privacy glass. It has the property that when electricity is passed through the glass it becomes transparent. Inside of this glass there are liquid crystal molecules, when there is no flow of electricity at that time they are disrupting (randomly arranged). But when current is passed these molecules align them in line and glass becomes transparent.
POLYTRON is not the single company who is working on transparent mobile technology. NTT DOCOMO and FISTISU are presently working on transparent and double- sided touchscreen. Recently SAMSUNG announced that its new flag ship phone S4 will have flexible display.
